Okay this is a commercial about a beer but there is a reason I’m putting it on my website. I love this commercial of Italy because it portrays an old, sexy, Italy. A romantic Italy with beautiful landscapes and beautiful people. A Italy that anybody would want to go to. And are Italians like this you may ask? Well yes and no. Italian men are hot (at least most of them… that’s why I said yes and no) and most Italian women are very sexy as well. As a gay male I love the style of this video and I think they did a good job marketing old Italy and making Italy romantic. So if you have been following with my website for a while you know that today I have changed my website completely. And there is a reason for this. I of course liked the other design I had but at the same time it was really fully reflecting me and who I am. Who am I speaking for and who I am I speaking to. This website should be about a gay male who happens to like to travel. And so I’m going to give you just one perspective of what it means to be gay and travel. Jawdropping!

So I had to look all over the internet to be able to find this crash that happened on April 5th, 1993 in Guatemala City. The real cause of this crash was because the was airplane coming in too fast and too high and that the runway was saturated with water. A tropical storm had passed through the area causing the airplane to skid. The aircraft was damaged quite extensively but everybody on the airplane survived as well as people who were on the ground at the time.

So I wanted to show you an extreme airport that I’m going to travel to in 2 weeks! This is Lukla airport located in northeast Nepal and is the only airport to fly into if you want to see Mount Everest. (You could hike for 6-8 days to Lukla but that just seems the long way around.) So this morning I received another blow to our trip for Tibet. Another rule has come into play stating that we need 5 people in our group with the same nationality in order to be able to do our tour. At this point with only 2 weeks until our trip it seems like it would be very hard to find 5 people. What do you think too intense?

So today I have learned that China is only issuing out Permits for groups with 4 or more people in them. Well as of right now it’s just me and Matt therefore we couldn’t get into Tibet even if we wanted to. So I have decided to just wait it out and see if we can get 2 other Americans traveling with us to Tibet. (and then we will have to figure something out after Lhasa because we don’t know if we can travel by ourselves after that). Read more →

News!

Just received word (mostly from online forums) that Tibet might be harder to get in to because they have changed the rules and are only letting in people with a group of 4 or more people with the same Nationalities… Therefore I would have to go with 2 other Americans so that me and Matt can get in. Perhaps changes are on the way May 15th so I’ll wait and see. This might put a delay on our plans and I will have to keep y’all updated on what’s next.

So yesterday was my birthday and I celebrated it by working at a sales jobs that I didn’t even get paid for doing… It was really my fault that got myself in this mess. I had recently turned down a leasing/office assistant position on the fact that I was worried about finding a better job. Well as you may know I also have this trip coming up which I’m really excited about it but at the time is giving me a headache due to the fact that I still need to find work.
